2011-BEST IDOL FACES

[VIDEO] Arirang rates the Worst Idol Star Actors

On June 28th, Arirang rated the top 5 idol stars who are known to be horrible actors on their ‘Pops in Seoul‘ program which has been stirring up some heated debates between fans.

The idol stars were rated mostly on their skills in expressing emotions (facial, tone), pronunciation, and how natural they looked while acting.

KARA’s Goo Hara was rated as the 5th worst on this list and the rest went something like this: SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong as number 4, miss A’s Suzy at number 3, TVXQ’s U-Know / Yunho at number 2, and finally, Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung was rated as the worst idol star actress.

The hostess of the segment, NS Yoon Ji (reading from a script) gave somewhat harsh criticism and feedback for each idol but ended the comment with praise such as, “Don’t worry Hyun Joong oppa, this actually means you’re even more charming“, and “Oh wait, I can hear all her uncle fans screaming, ‘it’s okay, because Suzy makes up for it with her beauty‘”.

Although a few admittedly agreed on the accuracy of the ratings, many fans were upset about the content and questioned if the degree of insult was needed. Check out the segment below!

how can you rate someone acting like that?!! with no vote or else...
it's just stupid stupid and stupid!!
they're not worst acting but super popular with their acting lol

On June 24th, DSP Media claimed that KARA’s new single album, ‘Go Go Summer‘, is #1 of the various Japanese mobile charts and will soon be released in Japan as their fourth single release.

According to KARA’s agency, “Go Go Summer“ was first released as a mobile ringtone before the actual album release date which is scheduled for June 29th.

“Go Go Summer” ranked as #1 on multiple charts on Recochoku including the daily, weekly, as well as 2 other ranking charts. “Go Go Summer” is the new single following the release of their previous Japanese single “Jet Coaster Love“, which topped the Oricon charts back in April.

LG’s new smartphone, Optimus Bright will also use “Go Go Summer” as the theme song for it’s promotional release in Japan.

Note:
The NINKI ratings are the results of a POLL conducted by Oricon indicating interest in an upcoming release. Although the ratings are never a true reflection of sales, it does give a strong prediction about where the single/album will place in terms of popularity amongst the Japanese public. However, they are NOT an indication of how it will perform in terms of chart positioning and total sales for the week.

AKB48 has proved to be a giant force in the industry, and have shown no signs of slowing down, as the group made roughly 66.6 billion yen (USD $82.6 million). Arashi also proved to be fierce competition, trailing behind the massive girl group by less than a million.

Tohoshinki (TVXQ) ranks as the foreign act in fourth place, selling 284,000 copies of their single “Why? (Keep Your Head Down)“, while Jang Geun Suk rounds off the top 5 with 186,000 copies of his debut Japanese single, “Let me cry“.

well well, number 6 isn't a bad thing! KARA and SNSD income just slightly different, and I know that KARA only released 1 single and 1 DVD and all of their single sales already donated back to japan people~ so I'm not ashamed with their rank! but I'm really happy! I believe 2nd half year will be better and KARA wave will be back!!
